South Korean pop rock band DAY6 performed in the Philippines for the first time with their sold-out concert on Saturday, Oct. 6.
Held at the Kia Theatre, the five-member band performed their recently released single “Shoot Me,” “You Were Beautiful” and “Congratulations.”
“You guys were worth the wait. Thank you Manila. You were amazing,” the band wrote in an Instagram post on Saturday night.
Their ‘Youth World Tour’ kicked off in Seoul with a three-day concert in June and continued with shows in Australia, Asia and North America. More shows are still being added to their first ever world tour.
“An unforgettable moment here in Manila. Thanks to My day, perfect as always,” the band wrote in their official Twitter account after the show.

The self-producing band consists of Sungjin as main vocalist and rhythm guitarist, Jae as lead guitarist, Young K as bassist and rapper, Wonpil as keyboardist and Dowoon as drummer.
The concert was made possible by the overwhelming demand of MyDays (DAY6’s fandom name) in MyMusicTaste, an online fan-initiated concert-making platform.
Thanks to the fans’ viral campaign, MyMusicTaste and DAY6 collaborated to bring the concert in Manila.
DAY6 is under JYP Entertainment that also handles K-pop groups like TWICE, GOT7, Stray Kids among others. /cbb
