If you noticed that Megan Fox’s Instagram page is looking less like an online catalog for her sexy lingerie line and more like a tourist’s gallery of scenic spots, there’s actually a reason for that.
She will be the host and executive producer of a conspiracy theory program, Travel Channel’s “Mysteries and Myths with Megan Fox,” a docuseries that will bring her to various countries. It aims to challenge centuries-old “conventional wisdom” and shed light on historical enigmas.
“I would describe myself as a seeker … someone who is never content to have obtained enough knowledge,” Fox said through Travel Channel. “History only gives us a one-sided view of the truth. That’s something I know from personal experience.”
While making the show, which is slated for airing later this year, Fox shared photos of herself in various locations, including Stonehenge, a Viking chieftain hall in Norway, and the island of Bozcaada in Turkey.
“My own history has been rewritten by other people who had a vested interest in changing the narrative,” added Fox, whose last big screen appearance was 2016’s “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”
The “seeker” has met up with archaeologists and other experts for the project, which is composed of four episodes. “So much of our history needs to be reexamined,” she said.—OLIVER PULUMBARIT
