WATCH: Trisha’s BFF Barbs in ‘Die Beautiful’ becomes a man again in ‘Born Beautiful’

Remember Trisha Echevarria’s BFF Barbs in “Die Beautiful”? She is back, this time to tell her own story.

Martin del Rosario shows he is a strong, independent woman, who eventually happens to be the apple of the eye of two men, in the much-awaited spin-off “Born Beautiful.”

As seen in the movie’s trailer released on Friday, Barbs sets out on her own adventure such as joining a beauty pageant and transitioning into a man. The trailer also teased that Barbs still talks to Trisha’s ghost.

Previously, it was reported that Christian Bables was to reprise his role as Barbs, for which he won a Best Supporting Actor award in the 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival. He was later replaced by Del Rosario, with Bables even congratulating him for the role.

“Born Beautiful,” which was originally planned to be a series, will now be released as a movie shown in local theaters. The movie’s release date has yet to be disclosed.  /ra
