Love vs lust

AN empty heart aches with lust, envy, anger and jealousy. It burns and finds no rest even if it swims in sense gratification.

* * *

Lust grows when one focuses on objects that the senses feast on. The senses are insatiable, so lust also becomes insatiable.

* * *

Love grows when one focuses on pleasing the Supreme Beloved.

* * *

Love is giving; lust is taking.

* * *

Sometimes, people say, “I love you,” even when what they’re really feeling is lust—their desire for self-gratification.

* * *

Lust is self-centeredness, the craving for one’s satisfaction.

* * *

Love isn’t a business. It doesn’t run on payment, trade or equal compensation.

* * *

Love flows from a heart that is satisfied by the Supreme Source!
