THE advocacy for children’s welfare and responsible media has a new set of officers. This was announced by Mikee Cojuangco-Jaworski, spokesperson of AnakTV.
Elected president for a three-year term is Elvira Yap Go, a church lay leader, businesswoman and host of the talk show, “Power to Unite.” She succeeds Bob del Rosario, former IBC president. Vice president is ABS-CBN’s Leng Raymundo, head of her station’s program acquisitions. Net25’s station manager, Mak de Lim, is secretary/treasurer.
Ed Roces remains chairman, while Mag Cruz Hatol continues as secretary general, Jaworski added.
Seminars
AnakTV has already commenced its national consultations, TV literacy seminars, and jury screenings with sessions in Janiuay, Iloilo and scheduled events in Zamboanga and Palawan.
The organization will also stage part of the international youth jury screenings for Prix Jeunesse in March and the national Kabataang Pinoy sa Media Festival in May.
