Why Raquel Pempengco would give Jake Zyrus P700M lotto jackpot if she wins it

If Raquel Pempengco scores the P700 million jackpot prize from the 6/58 Ultralotto, she said she will give it to her daughter Charice, now known as Jake Zyrus, to stop him from degrading her.
The mother unleashed her wrath at the singer via Facebook, in a post made today, Sept. 26. She took a swipe at Zyrus by answering the question: “Ano ang gagawin mo sa halos P700M na jackpot prize sa lotto? Kung sakali ikaw ang manalo?” (What would you do to the approximately P700 million jackpot prize in the lotto, if you win it?)
“Kung sakaling manalo ako, ibibigay ko kay CHARICE, para hindi na nya gawin pa ang pambababoy sa pagkatao ko at di nya na ako gawing masama sa madlang people. Pagsisisihan mo yan balang araw,” she wrote.
(If I win, I will give the winnings to Charice, so she would stop degrading and demonizing me before people. You will regret that one day.)
Kung sakaling manalo ako, ibibigay ko kay CHARICE.. para hindi na nya gawin pa ang pambababoy sa pagkatao ko at di nya na ako gawing masama sa madlang people. Pagsisisihan mo yan balang araw….

The mother went on airing out her grievances against the singer through her replies on comments from netizens. A certain Danielle Dawn Villapando-Reyes said she used to be a fan but not anymore, after Zyrus’ voice changed; the netizen also commented that Zyrus should have listened to his mother.

Pempengco replied to the netizen: “Anyone can sing like her voice now… Sana pinag-isipan [niya] ‘yan [bago] [niya] ginawa na yan ang magiging hanapbuhay [niya] kaya dapat di [niya] binago.”
(Anyone can sing like her now. I hope she realized that before he went on (with the transition); he should have thought that this [involves] his livelihood, so he should have never changed [his voice].)

Pempengco and Zyrus are known to have a rift. In an episode of “Maalaala Mo Kaya” aired last year, Zyrus was portrayed to be a victim of physical and emotional abuse by his mother, when he was still young. When the episode aired on TV, she lashed back in defense of herself.
Previously, Pempengco has pleaded to the singer to visit his grandmother, who was confined at the intensive care unit. JB
