As soon as my best friend, Cesar Montano, found out the annulment of his marriage to Sunshine Cruz has been granted, he relayed the news to me.
I chided him, “Welcome to the club. You are now a free man!”

I am mighty proud of my palangga Leo Valdez. He has been tapped to portray The Engineer again in “Miss Saigon.”

A former beauty queen (BQ) is in dire financial straits. She owes an obscene amount of money to a lot of people.
The material girl in her is living beyond her means so she can keep up with the Joneses. If BQ does not pay up, she will end up in jail.

How Mr. C spots a hit
I teased Ryan Cayabyab, whom I fondly call Your Eminence, that a popular chicken joint should get him as its next “white-haired” endorser after Christopher de Leon, Ronaldo Valdez and Albert Martinez. It’s so him.
Then, I asked the Maestro: Is it the melody or the lyrics that makes a hit song?
Mr C. shot back, “It’s the overall impact. I don’t dissect a song. Just like in a beauty pageant, from the get-go, you can already spot who stands out from the rest. When a song hits people where it matters, that’s a sure hit.”
The Maestro speaks as eloquently as his compositions do.
