Sharon on Sarah: She’s more timid in person

The last time we crossed paths with Sharon Cuneta, we didn’t just talk about her 40th anniversary concert at the Big Dome on Sept. 28. When we began discussing her relationship with her cojudges in “Your Face Sounds Familiar” and “The Voice,” we asked Sharon, “Is Sarah (Geronimo) as timid as she looks on TV?”

“Sarah is even more timid in person,” the Megastar answered with unconcealed affection. “That’s why when I watch her movies, I go, ‘Is that Sarah? Because she can really let it all out in a role! In person, the girl hardly talks. She would call me ‘Ms Sharon,’ and I’d say, ‘Ano ka ba? Ate na.’ Then, she’d say, ‘Sige po.’ She got used to being so polite and so quiet.”—RITO ASILO
