Korina Sanchez says goodbye to ‘Simone’
Television host Korina Sanchez on Friday bade farewell to her pet pitbull Simone, who died due to kidney failure.
“I can only remember Simone now about how her last months were the best she could have had, given circumstances. Run freeing Heaven, Simone. I will see you and everyone up there again one joyous day,” Sanchez said in an Instagram post.
Sanchez said she took care of Simone for five months and was already suffering from a failing kidney.

I said my last goodbyes to Simone today. I told her it was alright to rest. I told her she should say hi for me to her other brothers and sisters who went ahead of her and that they should run, run, run and not stop. I can only remember Simone now about how her last months were the best she could have had, given circumstances. Run free in Heaven, Simone. I will see you and everyone up there again one joyous day.🌈 If you have the heart to give a homeless pittie like Simone, but a healthy and equally lovable one, please email me email@example.com and give a chance for a happy life, finally, to a pittie.💚🐶🏡
“When I took Simone, the sweet pittie from the shelter she already had a failing kidney. I knew her days were numbered. But this is my self-inflicted heartache. I take the old and sick and try to give them their best life for whatever time they have left,” she said.
Before Korina adopted her, Simone was in the care of CARA, an animal welfare organization, for five years. /kga
