LJ Reyes expressed much happiness upon learning she is expecting a baby girl with boyfriend Paolo Contis.
The couple had a gender reveal party set up by Reyes’ family on Saturday, Sept. 15. It was documented for Reyes’ vlog uploaded on YouTube.
Reyes and Contis first discussed what they thought their baby’s gender would be. Contis thought they were having a girl, saying his girlfriend was “blooming.” Reyes, on the other hand, had a hunch she was carrying a boy, joking Contis: “Eh ang itim kasi ng batok mo eh (Because your nape is so dark)!”
The video then gave a glimpse of what went down during the party. Guests wrote down their names on either pink or blue stars, casting their vote whether baby Contis was a boy or a girl.
The big reveal came when Contis, Reyes and her son Akio pulled from a gold star-shaped box, which contained pink confetti, which signified they are having a girl. The pregnant actress jumped for joy and looked very happy over the revelation.
“We can’t wait to see you, anak!” Contis wrote on his Instagram post. He also thanked Reyes’ family for the “super fun gathering.”
Contis and Reyes revealed last August that they were expecting a child, after three years of dating. The baby will be the second for Reyes and the third for Contis. /ra
