Dua Lipa was reduced to tears at a recent concert in China, after some fans were ejected, reportedly for standing up on their seats and waving LGBTQ flags.

“I was horrified by what happened and I send love to all my fans involved. I would love to come back for my fans when the time is right, and hopefully see a room full of rainbows,” the British pop star said in a statement posted in her Instagram account, after she took the stage at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai.

The 23-year-old singer, who’s behind the hit song “New Rules,” has been vocal about her support for the LGBTQ community. “I will stand by you all, for your love and beliefs,” she wrote. “I’m proud and grateful that you felt safe enough to show your pride at my show . . . What you did takes a lot of bravery. I always want my music to bring strength, hope and unity.” —ALLAN POLICARPIO
