No more apartment living for Solenn and Nico

Celebrity couple Solenn Heussaff and Nico Bolzico  recently moved into their new home in a subdivision somewhere in northern Metro Manila.

“We were looking for a bigger apartment. We were so used to apartment living. But then we thought we could use a bigger space, for my art studio and other [things]. So we got a house instead,” Solenn told the Inquirer at the recent launch of Kenny Rogers Roasters’ new short animated film “Awesome Together” featuring the restaurant’s new “Bacon Roast” chicken.

She and husband Nico Bolzico were the featured voice actors in the film. The couple has been with the restaurant brand for a couple of years now.

The multihyphenate celebrity said one of the main considerations for choosing the subdivision they live in now was privacy.

“I love living in a condo, because of the security. But I still had to go to the lobby every morning. I want to enter and not bump into anyone,” Solenn shared.

She described her new neighborhood as “cute and friendly,” compared to Forbes where she lived with her parents.

“Here, I’d go jogging; people would only stop and greet me, then they let me go. The people welcomed us,” Solenn added. “And there’s taho every day. I love taho!” The house they bought was a renovated unit. “I didn’t design it,” Solenn said. But she took care of the interiors.

Nico said: “She was so hands-on. I didn’t do anything.”

Describing the theme as “Havana,” Solenn infused a Latin feel to her new home, as she did in her previous apartments.

“I love wood. There are no huge chandeliers, but there is a lot of metal. There are also a lot of plants; it’s like a jungle,” she said.

The couple enjoys their new home by chilling with their pet turtle Patato—a social media darling like them; their cat Negroni; and their new dog Pochola.
