DJ Alesso on DJ Avicii: We used to be close
The suicide of hit-making DJ Avicii has some of his colleagues on the dance music scene rethinking about how they could better deal with stressful working conditions.
“You tour all around the world, stay at fancy hotels and make money,” DJ Alesso, who’s behind the hits, “Let Me Go” and “Heroes,” told the New York Post. “But then, we also experience pressure, expectations and stress.”
The Swedish record producer described Avicii’s death as a “terrible loss” to the music community. “We come from the same city, we went to the same school, we knew each other. We used to be close, then we both had our own careers,” he recalled.—ALLAN POLICARPIO
