#DFAHorrorStories was the hashtag Kapuso actress Lauren Young used when it came to narrating her recent distressing experience with the Department of Foreign Affairs.
Young took to social media recently to share to her fans what went down while she was trying to process documents at DFA. Using colorful words, Young described that the experience made her want to “pull my hair out, scream and have my eyes roll back.”
“Basically an exorcism,” quipped Young on her Twitter page on Sept. 3.

In another tweet made the same day, Young narrated that she was in window 1 when she was told to transfer to window 2 to verify if she needed to get a certain document.
“Guy in window 1 told me I have to get a document but should verify with window 2 if it’s necessary or if there’s something they can do for me,” shared Young.

As per Young, she waited in line for 3 hours only to be given the same answer by the person behind window 2. “Waited in line for 3 hours to get to window 2 only to be told the exact same thing. Salamat! #DFAHorrorStories.”
Moreover, Young said that there were only two windows at that time accommodating a hundred people in cue. She said, “I felt so bad for the people waiting and for the people working there.”

It’s palpable that it isn’t just Young, too, who had her fair share of unpleasant experiences in DFA. Singer Saab Magalona, a good friend of Young, saw her patience running out and finally fumed at DFA last July while trying to apply for a passport for her baby son Pancho.
Despite receiving clarifications from DFA via Twitter, Magalona still ran into problems when she went to DFA Megamall; she was told to return two hours later despite lunch breaks not being allowed. Magalona, too, pointed out that nobody was manning the courtesy lane and wondered why PWDs (persons with disabilities), senior citizens, pregnant women and minors were made to wait. JB
