Two celebrities had unfortunate experiences on the road with rude drivers recently — one was almost hit by a car, while the other got frustrated as another vehicle cut in front of her.
Maxene Magalona got a close call as a Mitsubushi Mirage almost ran over her in Rockwell, Makati City, as per her post on Twitter, Tuesday, Aug. 28. Magalona noted that the driver also violated traffic rules, as she was crossing via the pedestrian lane, saying: “Instead of slowing down when we were crossing, the driver sped up as if wanting to run us over.”
She also thought best to ask for help from the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA). “Let’s all promote safe [and] responsible driving especially around pedestrian lanes,” Magalona reminded her fans.

Bianca Gonzalez too had an unlucky experience on the road, particularly with one stylish-looking red Toyota sports car.
“Honestly, aanhin ang magarang kotse kung garapal naman magmaneho at nangcu-cut ng ibang kotse,” the TV personality said in annoyance.
(Honestly, what’s a fancy car for if the driver is reckless and would cut in front of another car?)

Some fans agreed with Gonzalez, with one named MALEON (@mldpineda) saying: “Unfortunately breeding and good conduct are not requirements for getting a driver’s license.”
Unfortunately breeding and good conduct are not requirements for getting a driver's license 😞🙁

While one J E P (@jepepips) shared a funny GIF, and said: “Tapos mag dedemand sila ng ‘where’s my 5 minutes’ kapag sinita.” (And then they’ll demand ‘Where’s my five minutes?’ when they get reprimanded.) The netizen was citing a recent viral video of a fiscal refusing to be ticketed by the MMDA for illegal parking.

And one Arleen Quidlat (@arthleen) only had this to say about the driver: “You really can’t buy manners.”

Despite Magalona and Gonzalez’s different experiences, the two share one sentiment which they seem to point out to drivers: respect the rules of the road. JB
