‘YouTube mom’ on ‘imperfect’ motherhood

YouTube vlogger Andi Manzano-Reyes, known for her work as a radio-TV host, is the mom of a toddler, Olivia. Andi creates content for her vlog, regularly uploaded to her channel on the video-sharing site.

“I want to document everything,” she said. “When I was young, I had no videos. With Olivia, I want to capture her growth and milestones.”

Andi also documents other moments in her “mommy diaries.”

“There’s a little bit of craziness, cooking and how-tos. You’d see how I’m trying to figure things out,” she related.

The soon-to-be second-time mom shared: “What I’ve noticed with the local and international vloggers that I follow—it’s all real… I can see what they’re going through… motherhood is not about being perfect.”

Andi elaborated, “The reality is, it’s not always going to be positive. For a new mom, I would have wanted to hear it’s OK to be down, sometimes.”

“It was a different connection,” she said. “It’s not just for entertainment, but to help other moms, as well.”
