KathNiel reveals director’s way of igniting ‘kilig’ in actors

She is known for her formula-proven mega hits but whenever her actors just can’t seem to bring out what she wants, blockbuster director Cathy Garcia-Molina just has the fool-proof ways to stimulate the right emotions on her actors.
Kapamilya King and Queen of Hearts Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo revealed Molina’s styles of exhausting her actors to their nerves.
“May feather siyang igaganyan sa tenga mo. So pipigilan mo ‘yung kiliti mo,” said Bernardo on the recent media launch of her upcoming movie “The Hows of Us” which she top-bills with Padilla.
(She’d put a feather on your ears so you would restrain your excitement.)
If the feathers won’t work, she has another trick, music.
“Minsan din bigla siyang magplay ng something na kung sad, sad or sobrang kilig, yung bagay sa scene, ang galing niya humanap ng music” said Bernardo.
(Sometimes, she’d play something sad or very exciting, which fits a scene. She is very good at looking for music),
‘Yung music niya hindi mo alam kung masaya siya o malungkot pero pag ginamit mo sa eksena na yun mararamdaman mo siya ,” added Padilla.
(You would not know if her music is happy or sad but when used in a scene, you’d feel it.)
“The Hows of Us” starts hitting cinemas starting August 29.
