It appears that manners still matter for some celebrities, especially when it comes to respecting cinema rules.
Celebrity photographer Raymund Isaac shared his experience while watching “Crazy Rich Asians” in what he described as “one of the most expensive movie theaters in Manila” with moviegoers who “can afford, the rich and the affluent.” This he said on a Facebook post Thursday.
Instead of enjoying his movie experience, he noticed something else. “Sad to say despite all that description, a lot of them took out there phones, recorded some scenes, replied to messages and opened their FB,” Isaac wrote.
“What has happened to us na?” Isaac asked. “Is this an addiction? Or are we just oblivious to other people?”

And some celebrities too agreed with Isaac’s sentiments. Lea Salonga was saddened by this, commenting: “We’ve lost our manners. Clearly money cannot buy class.”

Actor Manny Castañeda had this to say to the moviegoers: “Wealth does not assure breeding.”

Malou Crisologo got curious as to why the audience would take clips of the movie, even though the anti-camcording video advisory was shown before the movie. “And doesn’t the law suppose to apply to all? Egalitarianism, I believe. Asan na? (Where are our manners?)” she asked.

And OPM legend Jim Paredes thought that the wealthy moviegoers may have attention deficit disorder.

People who illegally take clips of movies in cinemas are in violation of RA 10088 or the “Anti Camcording Act of 2010.” According to the law, violators may be penalized with a fee of P50,000 to P750,000, or may face imprisonment ranging from six months and one day to six years and a day. /ra
