Benefit jazz concert

Local and foreign jazz musicians will perform in a fund-raising concert on Sept. 10 at the Grand Ballroom of New World Makati Hotel to launch and benefit the Mindstrong Movement of the Natasha Goulbourn Foundation (NGF).

Featured performers are Filipinos Michael Williams, Bituin Escalante, Nicole Asensio and Pilita Corrales; Singaporeans Rani Singam and Andrew Lim; and Australian Serge Le Goueff. Musical director is Mel Villena. Accompaniment will be provided by the AMP Jazz Band.

The Mindstrong Movement is the latest initiative of NGF, an organization founded by Jean Goulbourn, which has been actively involved in suicide prevention, information and education on depression and related health issues. It runs a 24/7 suicide prevention hotline.
