Blockbuster director Cathy Garcia-Molina has nothing more to prove in terms of her directorial prowess however, since her movies are predominantly on the romantic-comedy genre, she herself revealed that many have doubted the acting capacity of her actors especially, the Queen of Hearts, Kathryn Bernardo.
“Marami kasing nagsasabi na ano, maraming nag-do-doubt sa capacity ng artista ko especially Kathryn,” she said on the grand media launch of her upcoming movie “The Hows of Us” top-billed by Bernardo and her on and off screen partner, King of Hearts Daniel Padilla.
(Many have been saying that, many have been doubting the capacity of my actors especially Kathryn)
“So I have this talagang ilalabas ko ang galing ni Kathryn sa pelikulang ito and she did it with flying colors,” she added.
(So I have this conviction that I will exhaust Kathryn’s talent in this movie and she did it with flying colors)
She also further said that it’s high time that KathNiel be given a project that would make people see that they are indeed actors. What better way to show it than to give them something that’s more mature and fitting for their ages.
“Kailangan magawan ang dalawa ng bago kasi after “La Luna Sangre” and “Can’t Help Falling In Love” and “Barcelona,” tatlo yun na magkakaibang tono,” she said.
(The two have to be given something new because after “La Luna Sangre” and “Can’t Help Falling In Love” and “Barcelona,” which are all in different tones)
“Ano pa bang hindi nila napupuntahan, something more real, real na parang slice of life type. Mas kaya kami napunta sa ganitong kwento,” she continued.
(Where else haven’t they been to, something more real, as if it is a slice of life. Hence why we all the more came to this story)
“The Hows of Us” hits local cinemas starting August 29. /muf
