To date, Christine Bersola-Babao has two Styled pop-up stores — one at the Shangri-La Mall in Mandaluyong (East Wing, Mid Level, beside TWG and Rado) and anpother one at Uptown Mall (3rd floor, Cinema Level, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig).
“My entrepreneurial life started when I was seven years old. Grade 1 pa lang ako mahilig na ako mag-business talaga. Iyon talaga ang passion ko (My entrepreneurial life started when I was seven years old. Even when I was in Grade 1, I already like doing business. That’s my passion),” she said in an exclusive interview with INQUIRER.net.
Bersola-Babao credits her interest in business to her mom who used to join bazaars and exhibits. When she was young, she said her mother buys and sells furniture and other goods, which she usually sources from Hong Kong or Thailand.
“So ang dami naming pwesto sa Virra Mall, Shoppesville and all that. Lumaki akong ganoon. Ginawa niya kung sales lady niya. Kung paano makitungo sa tao. Kaya hindi ako nahihiya eh sa tao (We have stores in Virra Mall, Shoppesville. I grew up that way. I was her sales lady. I learned how to deal with people. I am not embarrassed to talk to people),” she said.
Bersola also joins bazaars and she organizes them herself. With CBB Food, suppliers and producers are given a platform to market their products on a consignment basis.
“What I do under CBB Food is I distribute since I always have bazaars. I have a store and then I have agents who can sell,” she said, adding that since CBB Food is a distributor, it helps people markets their products.
“We can either rent a space sa akin ang then you sell or you can give me commission, consignment basis,” she added.

She shares her extensive business know-how to the public through her online financial literacy show, “MoneyWise,” which she co-hosts with famous business coach and motivational speaker Chinkee Tan.
“It’s available online sa Facebook and YouTube kasi nga ‘yun ‘yung passion ko (because it’s my passion) to educate people, to be successful in business,” she said.
Bersola-Babao is also an award-winning children’s book author and founder of the country’s first online parenting show, parenTIN.tv. She is mom to her two kids — Antonia and Nio — and of course, wife to veteran broadcast journalist Julius Babao. /ee
