Kapamilya superstar Coco Martin was instrumental in the showbiz comeback of CJ Ramos, giving the troubled former child actor a chance to appear in his top-rating action series “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”
Martin praised Ramos for acing every scene though he had been away for years.
“Sobra namin siyang na-appreciate kasi dun namin nakita yung pagiging brillant niyang artista. Napakagaling niyang artista kasi ako nag-didirect sa kanya ngayon,” Martin said at his contract signing for a new motorcycle endorsement Saturday.
[We really appreciated him for being a brilliant actor. He’s a very good actor. I know because I’m the one directing him now.]
“Every time na may eksena siya, wala kaming sinasabi kundi ‘ang galing mo’,” he added.
[Every time he has a scene, all we could say was “you’re so good.”]
Martin got the idea of helping out the former “Ang TV” mainstay when he learned that Ramos had been arrested in a drug-buy bust operation in Quezon City.
After Ramos was released, Martin immediately tried to contact the actor, who in past interviews said that his dependence on drugs started when his once glorious acting career suddenly took a downturn through his teens.
[In a person’s life there are time when he will trip and make mistakes. I’m sure that whatever mistakes he committed he has already learned from them. What is needs is someone who will support and guide him.]
Matin said he saw himself in Ramos. Before becoming the successful actor that he is now, he had also been no stranger with struggles.
It was only until he met the right people who helped him that his life was turned around. And so, he would now want to lend the same helping hand to those in need.
The whole production staff of “Ang Probinsyano” also have good words to say about Ramos. They fully support his journey to a finding better version of himself again.
Martin hopes other doors in showbiz open up for Ramos. /atm
