Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, the Grammy-winning hip-hop group behind the hit “Tha Crossroads,” is set to return to the Philippines for a concert on Sept. 5 at SM Mall of Asia Arena, according to local promoter Ovation Productions.
Front acts for the one-night show are local hip-hop icon Gloc-9 and newbie Shanti Dope (call 470-2222).
Composed of rappers Bizzy Bone, Wish Bone, Layzie Bone, Krayzie Bone and Flesh-n-Bone, the American group produced two of the most popular and well-regarded hip-hop records of the 1990s, “E. 1999 Eternal” and “The Art of War.”
The rap group, which has sold over 50 million records worldwide, is also known for having worked with the late hip-hop icons 2Pac and the Notorious B.I.G., as well as pop-R&B superstar Mariah Carey.
Bone Thugs previously took the stage in Manila in 2014 and dedicated the concert to the survivors of Supertyphoon “Yolanda.” —ALLAN POLICARPIO
