TV host and comedian Willie Revillame will remain a Kapuso. He signed another contract with the network on August 8.
Present during the contract signing were GMA chairman and CEO Felipe Gozon and other Kapuso executives.
Since his transfer to GMA, he has been hosting his self-produced show “Wowowin.”
Revillame is among the highest paid TV hosts of all time. His peak as ‘noontime king’ was from 2005 to 2010 when his now-defunct daily game show “Wowowee” was aired on ABS-CBN.
He then moved to TV5 and hosted a similar game show called “Wil Time Bigtime” until January 2013.
The comedian’s transfer to GMA was a homecoming for him since he started his career at the network in the mid-80s via the defunct noontime show “Lunch Date,” which had a seven-year run from 1986. /ee
