The appearance of Queen of All Media Kris Aquino in the Hollywood film “Crazy Rich Asians” has been much talked-about. Aquino shared recently that she is set to walk the red carpet for the film’s premiere at the TCL Chinese Theater on the Hollywood Walk of Fame tomorrow, Aug. 7. But until then, Aquino would have to wait.

Aquino took to her Instagram last Aug. 3 to share the latest goings on in their stay in Los Angeles, California.

“Hello from LA,” wrote Aquino. “Hindi pinayagan ni (I was not allowed by) Dr. Piano lumabas (to go out) because today was very hot & dry, meaning the air would have a lot of allergens present — so I obeyed and just slept then I watched a lot of ‘The Good Fight’ on CBS All Access…”

In her post, Aquino shared screenshots of an article on Teen Vogue published last Aug. 1, which featured the entire cast of the “Crazy Rich Asians” movie.

“Bimb was finally impressed w/ his Mama — he said ‘Whoa, you’re on Teen Vogue?’ Now all of you know why I’m grounded, w/ my feet firmly planted on the ground,” wrote Aquino.

The following day, Aug. 4, Aquino shared a video clip of an interview between Kevin Kwan, author of “Crazy Rich Asians”, and Curtis Chin, the former US Ambassador to the Asian Development Bank and a commentator.

At one point in the interview, Chin referred to Aquino as “Super celeb-interviewer-media star Kris Aquino.”

Kwan, meanwhile, told Chin in the interview that Aquino is a “highlight” of the movie.

“She’s definitely in the movie,” said Kwan. “She’s a highlight of the movie, for me, she’s a highlight of the movie.”

“She doesn’t need my help. Everything she does goes viral,” added Kwan.

Aquino, unsurprisingly, was deeply flattered.

“I was grateful to watch and hear all the generous words to describe me Mr. Curtis Chin used BUT to actually view @kevinkwanbooks [Kevin Kwan’s]  answer in reference to me… what more could a girl who only dreamed of this say,” wrote Aquino.

“THANK YOU Kevin, for the affirmation, but more importantly for appreciating that we Filipinos are @crazyrichasians #superfans.”

“Crazy Rich Asians” is slated to be released worldwide in August. NVG
