Sweet things celebs do for their partners

DEREK Ramsay plays parent to special kids, with his GF.

It’s the first day of the love month. Since I’m a hopeful romantic, I thought of setting the mood for Valentine’s Day by asking celebrities about the sweetest thing they and their partners have done for each other.

As pour moi, all my exes (or should I say, exploits?) would agree that sweetness is my forte. To the point that I may have caused them to contract diabetes and suffer tooth decay. For instance, I gave an ex 28 birthday gifts with matching 28 cards (with my own mushy lines) when he turned 28.

A love fool like me always welcomes V-day with open arms and a semi-open heart. May it truly be a happy hearts’ and no-hurts day for us all!

FEATURED STORIES

DEREK RAMSAY: “Since Angel and I are bursting with sweetness, we can’t help but share the joy with others. So, more than the sweet things we’ve done for each other, I think it’s even sweeter when, as a couple, we  throw a party for special kids in Muntinlupa. We’ve been doing this for three years now. It’s our way of playing daddy and mommy till the time comes when we have our own family.”

TINTIN Bersola-Babao cooks for Julius on special occasions.

TINTIN BERSOLA-BABAO: “Julius followed me all the way to New York before we got engaged. He proposed to me on national television via Sharon Cuneta’s show. Always, he surprises me with Audrey Hepburn stuff for my collection. For my part, I’m more of a baker than a good cook, so he thinks it’s special when I cook for him on certain occasions. I also gave him some paintings, which are special to him since he’s an art collector. Even if we’re already married, we still have date nights—just the two of us.”

KYLA: “It’s so sweet of Rich to plan a trip for us. It makes me feel so pampered and cared for. In return, I cook for him, which I’m only starting to do. I’m learning to be a good cook for my husband.”

SUZI ENTRATA-ABRERA: “To this day, Paolo still sends me flowers for no reason. Sometimes he sends them to me during ‘Unang Hirit.’ It makes me feel like a high school girl with a thoughtful suitor. I surprise him by cooking his favorite-of-the-moment dish, like a dish we’ve had abroad which I try to recreate.”

BAYANI AGBAYANI: “Len gave me a book and at the back of its cover is a letter from her and our three daughters thanking me for everything I’ve done as a father and a husband. The sweetest thing I’ve done for her was during our 10th anniversary. I didn’t greet or kiss her the whole day. ’Di niya alam may surprise dinner ako for her in one of our fave restos. Pagpasok pa lang namin, pina-serenade ko na siya sa staff.”
