LOOK: Heart Evangelista, Chiz Escudero mark 6th anniversary

Heart Evangelista and Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero exchanged their vows in a grand Balesin wedding in 2015, but before that, the two dated for over three years.
It was the late Sen. Miriam Santiago who first introduced Evangelista to Escudero in 2012, contriving a list of potential dates for Evangelista after her breakup with Japanese-Brazilian model Daniel Matsunaga. But apparently it was Escudero who caught Evangelista’s heart, as the two are now happily married.
Last July 31, Evangelista took to her Instagram to mark the sixth year of her relationship with the senator.
She shared a picture of her and Escudero posing lovingly at a beach and wrote, “From the little things like making me laugh to the bigger things like helping me through difficult times, you have never failed to be my person.”

Things haven’t always been rosy for the married couple. Last May, the two were over the moon about Evangelista’s pregnancy to twins, but this was short-lived when she suffered a miscarriage and lost the twins just weeks apart. But despite this bump in the road, the two have remained steadfast and devoted to each other.
“6 years ago today we embarked on this journey together and I thank God for it everyday,” said Evangelista. “Happy anniversary, my love!’
In another post she shared Thursday, Aug. 2, she showed a picture of her at home giving Escudero a kiss on the cheek.
“Marriage is basically about finding someone who will let you smother them with love for the rest of your life…”
