Zoren Lepaspi and Carmina Villarroel’s twins, Maverick and Cassandra, a.k.a. Mavy and Cassy, are all grown-up, and are launching their careers in show biz.

The 17-year-olds inked contracts with GMA-7 on Thursday, with their proud parents in attendance. Both will be managed by the GMA Artist Center and their dad.

In photos posted by the Kapuso network’s official Instagram, Legazpi and the twins were welcomed by GMA Senior Vice President for Entertainment Lilibeth Rasonable.

As they are soon to become rising stars, Cassy admitted in a GMA Network interview: “At first I was a little bit nervous, but after a while I realized that this is actually very, very exciting.”

She also shared what she wants to venture on for her future projects:  “Romcom maybe? More on romcom or sitcoms; just anything light muna (first). We’ll start off there. Comedy, yes, since I’m very hyper and talkative.” Like his sister, Mavy said that he wants to take the same direction. “Then from there, let’s see how it goes,” he added.

But would Legazpi be comfortable if his daughter would be paired up with someone for a love team? The actor joked: “Change topic.”

Not stopping there, Villarroel went on how their daughter would likely be holding hands or even be kissed on the cheek. Still being uncomfortable and laughing at the thought, he told her: “Yan na nga ba ang sinasabi ko eh (This is what I’m talking about).

Nevertheless, Cassy expressed in another interview with the network that both of them would want to work with their parents on shows, instead of commercials. Mavy agreed, adding: “They’ve been a big inspiration in my life and I’ve always thought about it, being in a show with them.”

Aside from the twins, Legazpi too is signed with the network. Only Villarroel is currently not signed with GMA, despite having a show for them, “Kambal Karibal.”  Katrina Hallare /ra
