It also teased that she is also the singer in Reid’s band, who plays her grandson. They rock the house down; unbeknownst to him that he is actually jamming with his grandmother.

Also seen in the trailer is actor Xian Lim, who plays a producer that discovered Reid’s band, thanks to their new vocalist.

While she is having the time of her life, this also becomes an opportunity for her to temporarily escape her problems at home. Will she be able to return and resolve her issues with her family?

“Miss Granny” is a Filipino take on the 2014 South Korean comedy-drama film. This version is directed by Joyce Bernal, and will hit cinemas on Aug. 22.  /ra
