Shane Filan, former lead vocalist of the popular 2000s boy band, Westlife, is set to hold a concert on Sept. 15 at the Kia Theatre, according to local concert promoter, Wilbros Live (call 9115555).
The one-night show will have the singer performing some of the Irish pop group’s biggest hits, including “Swear It Again,” “If I Let You Go,” “My Love” and “Unbreakable.”
“Nothing makes me happier than singing and being onstage. It’s something I am very proud of, and it’s what I want to be doing for the rest of my life,” Shane said in a statement.
Aside from Westlife songs, Shane is also expected to delight fans with material from his solo albums. His latest, “Love Always,” features “Back to You,” which he describes as a song “I’m very close to.”
“The track is about being on the road the whole time and being separated from those you love. You do it because it’s part of the job, but you realize how much you miss the family,” Shane related.—ALLAN POLICARPIO
