WATCH: Empoy Marquez, Zanjoe Marudo bring humor to the kitchen in ‘Kusina Kings’

Fans surely would not want to miss the hilarious duo of Empoy Marquez and Zanjoe Marudo on the big screen.

Marquez and Marudo are Benjie and Ronnie, two aspiring chefs struggling to save their restaurant, in the new film “Kusina Kings”, which has released its official trailer yesterday, July 9.

To save their struggling business, Benjie joins the “Kusina King Challenge” TV series. If he wins, he will get the prize of P3 million. But if he loses, Benjie has to give up his restaurant to Ryan Bang, who operates the cooking show.


Aside from Marudo and Marquez, “Kusina Kings” will feature Nathalie Hart, Chokoleit, Jason Gainza and Jun Sabayton. The movie also marks the film debut of 2016 Miss Universe-Philippines Maxine Medina.


The new comedy is directed by Victor Villanueva and released under Star Cinema. Catch Marudo and Marquez cook up some laughs when “Kusina Kings” hits theaters July 25. JB
