MY eldest daughter, Julia, was invited to the “Suroy Suroy Sugbo—Southern Heritage 2012” tour last Jan. 18-20. The tour visited 22 municipalities within three days.
The trip allowed guests to experience the province’s food, culture and history. Gov. Gwen Garcia’s entourage and guests were greeted with songs and dances.
The group’s tour guides, Jennifer and Fabio, were Grade 6 students who were well-versed in English and described each tourist spot with aplomb.
