Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon and The National’s Aaron and Bryce Dessner revealed earlier this month that they’d be hosting an August music festival in Berlin, and they’ve now announced its huge line-up, which includes Feist, members of Arcade Fire and many, many more.

The festival’s initial reveal came in early June, the same time Vernon, the Dessners, and Tom and Nadine Michelberger launched the beta version of their music publishing platform PEOPLE.

The team behind PEOPLE announced a Berlin residency from Aug. 12 to 20, with plans to hold a series of public performances at Berlin’s Funkhaus Aug. 18 to 19.

The two-day event will be held across eight stages and studios at the Funkhaus, the historic radio and recording headquarters of the East German Republic.

“It’s a maze of studios of varying sizes and allows for an unrivalled sound quality in performance as well as a wide range of audience numbers,” explained the team.

At the time of the initial announcement, the PEOPLE team also revealed one of the festival’s key features: that no performance timetable will be communicated.

“The aim is to provide a situation where an audience member will not know what they are going to see until they sit down and the lights come up. With this arises the possibility to be genuinely surprised, moved, or opened up to something new.”

Now the line-up has been made available, featuring 160 artists and including familiar names such as Feist, Vernon, Aaron and Bryce Dessner, Richard Reed Parry and Sarah Neufeld of Arcade Fire, and Jónsi.

Tickets and further information are now available at www.p-e-o-p-l-e.com. JB
