Garbage is about to release the re-issue of their 1998 album “Version 2.0”, and on the same day, the band has revealed they’ll be hosting a global, online listening party for the album.

The United States rock band revealed the plans for the re-issue back in March along with a new, bonus track called “Lick the Pavement”. In May, the band revealed an acoustic version of “Medication” that will also feature on the album.

Due out June 22, the re-issue includes a remastered album, available in several formats: LP, 3LP with bonus materials, single-CD, or double-CD with a B-sides compilation.

On the same day as the album’s release, band member Butch Vig will host an online listening party that will be available to anyone with a Spotify free or premium account.

Fans can tune in at 11:00 a.m. PST; 2:00 p.m. EST; and 7:00 p.m. BST.

Founded in 1993 and fronted by Scottish singer Shirley Manson, Garbage released a debut, self-titled LP in 2005 and has steadily released studio albums since then, most recently 2016’s “Strange Little Birds”.

In September, the band will head out on a U.S. tour in honor of the 20th anniversary of “Version 2.0”. JB
