John Lesaca guested live on Radyo Inquirer

MANILA, Philippines— (UPDATE 2) Legendary violinist John Lesaca was guest of two shows on Radyo Inquirer on Tuesday night. He started with “Magtanong Kay Cecille” and finished on “Dear Heart”. Among the songs he played were “Imagine” by John Lennon and “Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas,” by Sharon Cuneta.

Lesaca said he’s been playing so long he has the honor of performing for Philippine presidents starting with dictator Ferdinand Marcos up to now Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

“I’m looking forward to play for our current president,” he added, referring to President Benigno Aquino III.

Greetings came from as far as Kansas City, prompting Lesaca to quip, “I can now say I am an international artist.”

“Magtanong Kay Cecille” is hosted by Cecille Lardizabal, airing Tuesday to Thursday from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sundays, 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

“Dear Heart” has relaxing music that features “Standard Genre” with greetings, requests and light discussions. It airs Mondays to Fridays, from 8 pm to 10 pm, hosted by Ciro Songco & Reysie Amado.

Recently, the two successive shows had guested Jomari Chan and Leah Navarro.
