Donny Pangilinan says his father, Anthony, taught him how to drink
Kapamilya young actor Donny Pangilinan is happy to be blessed with open-minded parents who allow him to experience the joys of life.
Proof of this is his revelation that it was his dad, Anthony Pangilinan, who taught him how to drink.
“Paborito ng daddy ko ‘yung mga masarap na wine, beer (My dad likes good wine, beer). So growing up, my dad would teach me…if this is good wine, this is good beer, the difference between that and other drinks. So growing up my dad would teach me how to drink,” he said in an interview with select members of the entertainment press at the set of his upcoming movie “Walwal” on Tuesday.
Donny is among the cast members of the coming-of-age movie “Walwal,” which also stars Elmo Magalona, Jerome Ponce, Kiko Estrada, and many others.
Directed by Jose Javier Reyes, with a story and screenplay by Gerald Mark Foliente, “Walwal” is reminiscent of classic, well-loved barkada movies. It depicts the relationships as well as sensitivities of the current generation of young adults.
Regal Films’ “Walwal” will be shown in theaters starting June 27. /ee
