Dingdong Dantes and Anne Curtis’ reunion movie “Sid & Aya: Not a Love Story” has reached a record-breaking P74-million gross sales within just six days of theatrical release.

Viva Films on Tuesday released the sales record of the much-awaited “not love story” movie via an Instagram post.

Even on its opening day, the movie has netted a P9 million in ticket sales.

“Sid & Aya: Not a Love Story” is Dantes and Curtis’ reunion project 20 years after their stint at the phenomenal ‘90s teen-oriented Saturday show “T.G.I.S.” They were among the members of the second batch of the new teens that graced the show after the original cast was elevated into its spin-off show “Growing Up.”

This is not the first time however that the two worked in a movie. In 1999, they, together with their “T.G.I.S” batchmates, starred in the teeny bopper flick “Honey, My Love, So Sweet.”

In past interviews, the two actors expressed how excited and comfortable they were working with each other, thanks to their launching projects in showbiz.

Curtis is also good friends with Dantes’ longtime ex-girlfriend and original love team Antoinette Taus. /jpv
