Thus said Vina Morales in a recent Instagram post that appeared to be pertaining to her former partner Cedric Lee being found guilty of kidnapping their daughter in 2016.
“Salamat po, Panginoon … mahal kong pamilya, matatalik kong kaibigan … to God to be glory,” wrote a “thankful” Vina, who also expressed gratitude to her legal counsel, Lucille Sering.
Along with the message is a photo of a cross taken in the St. Padre Pio Chapel in Quezon City. Vina is a devotee of the said saint.
The Inquirer sought Vina and Star Magic for comment through text, but her management said the singer-actress wasn’t issuing one … for now.
In 2016, Vina filed kidnapping charges against Lee, after he reportedly violated his visitation rights to their now 9-year-old child, Ceana. The controversial businessman was to return Ceana to Vina on May 14, 2016, but didn’t do so until May 23.
The Mandaluyong Regional Trial Court found Lee “guilty beyond reasonable doubt,” and ordered him to pay a P300-fine and P50,000 in moral and civil damages. —ALLAN POLICARPIO INQ
