Lovi Poe says breaking a routine is difficult.

Lovi Poe and the rest of the cast of GMA 7’s “The One That Got Away” recently wrapped up their series on a high note.

Here’s my chat with Lovi:

How did the series redefine love for you? The show made me realize that there’s a reason for you to be in love every day. For quite some time in the past, I’d go home from work feeling fulfilled with the work I did and the characters I portrayed. With my character Alex, I didn’t go home fully satisfied artistically, but still had a happy heart because I was crazy about the people I worked with.

What will you miss about the show? Breaking a routine is difficult. Not seeing the people I’ve been working with for months will give me some sort of separation anxiety.

What makes your relationship with your boyfriend (Chris Johnson) work? We’re guided by the art of compromise. We always try to meet in the middle.

If your father (the late Fernando Poe Jr.) were still around, what are some of the questions you would ask him? I’d ask him if he would do things differently, and if he was happy with his life choices.

Jameson, Janella hit it off

We at the Cinema Evaluation Board gave Regal Films’ charming movie, “So Connected,” a grade of B. Even if it’s the first team-up of Jameson Blake and Janella Salvador, they hit it off well.

The cute duo made me relish vicarious thrills. Their movie tackles the joys and woes of being a millennial. It also serves as a timely reminder for “the fast and the curious” generation not to be too much of a slave to technology.

‘Carinderia’ brouhaha

The Buhay Carinderia Revisited (BCR) project is not exactly show biz stuff. But since Cesar Montano’s name got dragged into the mess, it has become show biz fare, somehow. So I asked for BCR head Linda Legaspi’s side after the controversy broke out.

Her reply goes: “Some people just say wrong things and announce to the whole world without checking data. To say that we are heartbroken is an understatement. Yet, we are forgiving to all those who have wronged us.”

In true carinderia fashion, the issue continues to simmer.
