Veteran actor and ‘80s heartthrob Gabby Concepcion reminded the people about another chapter in his teen life, his romance with ‘80s sweetheart Janice de Belen, whom he called his “puppy love.”
In the actor’s Instagram post on May 23, he posted a throwback of their youthful selves together for a feature in vintage showbiz magazine Kislap.
Their story started when they filmed their 1983 movie “I’ll Wait For You (If It Takes Forever).”
In an interview in the past, de Belen revealed that their term of endearment to each other were “Fatso” and “amor.” Such were their endearments because of Concepcion’s Spanish lineage, “amor” meant love.
They last starred in the big screen together in the 1991 film “Pakasalan Mo Ako.”
In recent months, Concepcion has been at the forefront of headlines because of his on-off peace with ex-wife Sharon Cuneta. After their much-talked about small screen reunion via a smash hit viral commercial for a fast food chain, things seemed to turn sour again for the ex-couple. CLARIZEL G. ABANILLA/lb
