Berry won a Best Actress Oscar for her leading role in prison guard drama “Monster’s Ball”, played Jinx Johnson in James Bond movie “Die Another Day”, supermutant Storm in four “X-Men” franchise entries, and bolstered the “Kingsman” action movies with a key role in “Kingsman: The Golden Circle”.

Now she’s numbered among a cohort joining the next entry in Keanu Reeves’ hitman escapades ahead of the May 2019 release of “John Wick 3”.

Berry confirmed the news in an Instagram post and subsequently revealed her character’s name, Sofia. The Hollywood Reporter’s sources say she “will not be the film’s villain.” So who will be?

As it turns out, Anjelica Huston (“Trollhunters”, “The Addams Family”), Asia Kate Dillon (“Orange is the New Black”, “Billions”), Mark Dacascos (“Hawaii Five-O”) and Jason Mantzoukas (“Brooklyn Nine-Nine”) have also joined the picture, as reported by Variety.

Huston and Dillon are The Director and The Adjudicator respectively, both part of a syndicate of crime bosses and, as a consequence of previous events in the series, after Wick’s blood. Dacascos and Mantzoukas have been identified as Zero and Tick Tock Man.

Yayan Ruhian and Cecep Arif Rahman, martial arts experts who gained worldwide prominence through “The Raid 2” and then “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” will become a pair of hitmen assigned to take out John Wick himself.

Tiger Chen, Keanu Reeves’s own martial arts teacher and a stunt choreographer on 1999’s “The Matrix”, is likewise on board.
