The long-lost teen son of agents Mulder and Scully, William, appeared in episodes of the latest season of “The X-Files,” and he’s played by fresh-faced Miles Robbins, the son of ex-Hollywood couple Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins.
In a photo on Instagram, the 26-year-old actor-musician posed with costars Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny, and wrote, “Have been pinching myself for a while now. Was an honor joining this family.”
Miles, 26, also recently appeared as the manbun-sporting and drug-dealing teenager Connor in the film “Blockers.” When Miles isn’t acting, he is the lead vocalist, guitarist and lyricist of the psychedelic pop group Pow Pow Family Band—glammed-up, sporting long hair and wearing lipstick and dresses during performances.
In 2016, he defended the look and opened up about his sexuality in a Huffington Post column. “So many people, especially musicians, have done this before me. I wear dresses onstage and to occasional fancy dress events, because I do not enjoy neckties. I wear dresses to embrace femininity … but not to reassign my gender to female,” said Miles.
He further clarified, “I do not identify as LGBT, but I don’t think that I am anywhere close to being the most traditionally hetero guy in town. I don’t enjoy watching football very much, I like small animals, I cook and bake a lot…
“As for sexuality, I’ve never had sex with a man, but I have kissed a few. I do find women to be the most exciting to my … parts. But I did develop a serious loin-stirring crush on special agent Dale Cooper (while watching ‘Twin Peaks’ in bed with my girlfriend)… I am not LGBTQ, but I do identify with the concept of allowing yourself to be interested in the things that you are interested in, despite what the external influence of the world around you encourages you to pursue.” —OLIVER PULUMBARIT
