Maris Racal denies claim she and Sue Ramirez are a lesbian couple

Maris Racal defended her friendship with Sue Ramirez after a curious netizen asked her to set the real score on their alleged romantic relationship.

The Kapamilya actresses prove they are the best of friends as they have had adventures together, based on these photos.

But one netizen, @EmeraldstoneNew, wanted to know the real status between the two. She called out Racal via Twitter yesterday, May 9.

The netizen first said her kilig (excitement) towards the MarNigo love team, consisting of Racal and Iñigo Pascual diminishes each time the actress and Ramirez joke about them being a “lesbian thingy.”

“[I]f they are, then they should come out and be honest, di yung ginagawa nilang biruan ang pagiging LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) dahil lumalabas na nanloloko sila ng mga tao,” the netizen said.

(If they are, then they should come out and be honest, not joking around being an LGBT [couple] because it looks like they are fooling people.)

Instead of fighting back, Racal simply explained to the netizen, “Ganyan naman po talaga kami ni Sue ever since naging magkaibigan kami.” (That’s how Sue and I have always been since we became friends.)

She added: “Nagka malisya lang po dahil sa mga emojis na ginagamit namin. Di naman kami nagalit, in fact po natuwa po kami kasi andaming sumusuporta sa LGBT. Pero wala po kaming relasyon.”

(It became malicious because of the emojis we use. We’re not mad. In fact, we’re proud because there are a lot who support the LGBT, but we are not in a relationship.)

In one of her pictures with Ramirez, Racal used a rainbow emoji, known to be a symbol of the LGBTQ community.

Ramirez did the same in her picture of them and also used the hearts emoji:

In another tweet, she said she and Ramirez were amazed by the number of LGBT supporters. She added: “Pero wag nalang po natin bigyan ng kulay dahil may kanya kanya din kaming nagpapasaya saamin. Hehe.”  (Let’s not give it color because we each have someone who makes us happy. Hehe.)

Ending their conversation, the netizen expressed her concern by saying “Sana nga (I do hope) it will not blow out of proportion.”
