Marites Allen launches Feng Shui mobile app

Feng shui queen Marites Allen has launched her own mobile app.

Launched through ABS-CBN Publishing, the pioneering app offers expert advice on finding good luck. It features a daily forecast of opportunities tailor fit for individual users based on geomancy or feng shui.

The free app also has list of “suitable” and “unsuitable” activities that users can use as a guide to boost their chances at success or to warn them on the possibility of unfortunate occurrences.

Feng shui is known for its “use of energy forces to harmonize individuals with their surrounding environment.”

The Marites Allen Feng Shui app can be downloaded for free from Google Play and the App Store. However, it is only available in English for now.

“Honestly, it is very useful, it is very easy to understand, it’s all in English,” Allen told select members of the entertainment press at the Marco Polo Hotel on Wednesday.

The feng shui queen shared that people usually seek her advice not only on life-changing decisions but also on simple, everyday situations like finding the perfect date for weddings, the ideal time to travel or move to a new home, or even to know when is the best time to get a haircut, schedule home renovations or a surgery.

“Nakakatulong talaga na gawin mo ang mga gawain mo sa panahon na ma-swerte sa tao (It really helps to know when is the best time to do things),” she said.

Feng shui in fashion

Allen shared that one can also use feng shui in fashion, specifically to carefully coordinate one’s daily wear and influence the good elements to usher good luck in.

She actually combined the two in creating her own fashion brand, Frigga.

“I went to the London College of Fashion and I said if everyone can just wear something that could bring meaning into [their] life, why not wear it all the time,” she said, adding that her vision is to create fashion that can bring luck.

Allen is a geomancer and the first Filipino to receive the prestigious “Master in Feng Shui” recognition from the International Feng Shui Association. She is also the only Filipino member of the Feng Shui Societies of London, Singapore and the World of Feng-Shui Malaysia. /ee
