With its turquoise waters and wooden water villas, the Maldives has been equated with the word “paradise.”
It has become a favorite destination for those who want a perfect sun-soaked escape, which is why it comes as no surprise that celebrities choose it as one of their beach getaways. High-profile visitors include Kris Aquino, Maine Mendoza and Maja Salvador.

Jasmine Curtis-Smith has joined the list of celebrity tourists flying to the island before it vanishes—with sea levels rising, the country is expected to be submerged in decades.
The “Siargao” star was accompanied by boyfriend and surf entrepreneur Jeff Ortega, who celebrated their arrival by lifting her over the white sand.
For the trip, Curtis-Smith chose to dress in vivid patterns to match her bikinis.
The actress stunned in her bikini body as she lay on the edge of the pool fronting the Indian Ocean.
Ortega, who founded La Union Surf School, exchanged the waves for diving. But even from the shore, he shared that he was able to spot baby sharks in the clear waters.
Curtis-Smith also couldn’t help snap the perfect view in front of them. “Is this view for real? Really cant get enough of the wonderful colour of the water,” she gushed.
The jet-setting couple has been dating for two years. Their travels have included local beaches in La Union and Siargao, as well as in Curtis-Smith’s hometown of Melbourne. /ra
