Halsey’s frozen eggs

Pop singer Halsey recently revealed that she has decided to have her eggs frozen, because she fears that her endometriosis—a condition that causes painful periods, or in some cases, infertility—may prevent her from having a child in the future.

“I’m 23 years old, and I’m going to freeze my eggs. When I tell people that, they’re like, ‘You’re 23, why do you need to freeze your eggs?” she said in a guest appearance in “The Doctors.”

“Doing an ovarian reserve is important to me because I’m fortunate enough to have that as an option, but I need to be aggressive about protecting my fertility [and] myself,” added the “Him & I” singer, who suffered a miscarriage three years ago. — ALLAN POLICARPIO
