Timothée Chalamet and his “Call Me by Your Name” costar Armie Hammer had obvious chemistry in the acclaimed gay-themed film, so much so that some people have trouble separating them from their roles.
But while they can convince audiences that they’re intimate lovers onscreen, the two are actually straight.
Chalamet is the ex of Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Leon, while Hammer is married to ex-“Criminal Minds” actress Elizabeth Chambers, with whom he has two kids.
The relationship between the two men have evolved from coworkers to close friends, as Chalamet told talk show host Jimmy Fallon some weeks ago: “That’s my brother now. We had the National Board of Review Awards last night. He’s in bed with his wife last night—I’m in his hotel room, and I don’t know what gave me free license. I was like, ‘Ahh! I’m gonna get in there with you, guys!’ Seriously, those guys are like family now. I swear to God.”
Chalamet can be seen in photos with the couple during promotional events, as well.
There’s even one where he and Chambers went out to check the neighborhood while in Italy.
“Stimulating the local economy while husband siestas,” Chambers wrote as caption. “Find yourself a shopping partner like @tchalamet.”
On a flight with Chambers and Hammer, Chalamet took a photo of the couple relaxing, and posted it with the caption, “Goalz (I’ll photoshop myself in at a later date).”—OLIVER PULUMBARIT
