Shaina Magdayao says she’s not bothered by being single

It has been a while since Kapamilya actress Shaina Magdayao has last been a relationship. Nonetheless her affairs have always been among the most controversial in showbiz. Despite the failures of her attempts at love, she never really feared falling in love again.
“Wala naman. Nothing major na fear ng commitment. Siguro nag-e-evolve lang,” she said at the press conference for her upcoming movie “Single Single” with Matteo Guidicelli. “When you’re younger you’re more fearless, you’re more careless but as you grow older mas calculated na ‘yung ginaagawa mo sa buhay mas pinag-iisipan mo yung mga risks involved,”
“Di naman po ‘yung tipong phobia. Pero ‘yun nga po, you think about your decisions first before going into a relationship,” she added.
She’s also very much open to entertaining a new love but is not at all pressuring herself into having one.
While most women her generation are gearing towards getting married or starting a family, Magdayao’s priority is her career and chooses to let love happen if it would happen.
“Ako okay pa naman. Oo naman, if it comes, it comes. If it happens, it happens, she said. “Habang hindi pa, do things that are productive gaya ng trabaho. Marami pang nangyayare sakin na maganda eh, nonstop from ‘The Better Half’ and now ‘Asintado’ na hindi rin biro ‘yung mga trabahong napupunta sa akin.”
Not too long ago, actor Piolo Pascual publicly admitted that he had been “exclusively dating” the actress for over five years already.
The statement spurred an immediate shocked reaction from the public. The actress had to clarify Pascual’s “exclusively dating” statement.
In past interviews, Magdayao stressed that, while Pascual had been consistently someone she could rely on, they were both free to date whomever they would want to date. It’s just that incidentally they had not seen anyone but each other during the time together.
But perhaps her most controversial ex-boyfriend would have to be actor John Lloyd Cruz. Their relationship has been bombarded with controversy after controversy even after their bitter break-up in 2012.
Actor-director John Prats was also a boyfriend of the actress. /atm
