After six years with TV5, Jasmine Curtis-Smith has decided to transfer to GMA 7. Signing an exclusive contract with the Kapuso network, she said, was “a no-brainer.”
“They have been very patient and kind with us. It’s surreal, but I’m happy for this opportunity,” the actress said in a statement. “I’m excited to see what’s around the corner.”
Present at the signing were GMA executives led by chair and chief executive officer Felipe L. Gozon, as well as the 24-year-old star’s talent manager, Betchay Vidanes.
Meanwhile, her sister Anne Curtis, whose television career started at GMA 7, expressed support for Jasmine’s career move: “Congratulations, my baby girl! I’m just down the street if you need me.”—ALLAN POLICARPIO
