WATCH: Rachelle Ann Go, Martin Spies reminisce about their love story in wedding video
While looking at the sunset with the waves crashing in front of them, newlyweds Rachelle Ann Go and Martin Spies took the time to reminisce about their love story.
Go and Spies looked visibly happy a day before their nuptials, as seen in their wedding video released by Treehouse Story today.
Feeling relieved, they managed to work out all obstacles that came their way. Go said then of her soon-to-be husband, “The first time I met you, I knew it. I was like ‘Okay, this is the guy I’m gonna marry.'”
When asked if he would cry at the big moment, Spies answered, “Definitely,” adding that he was both “nervous and excited” as the hours drew near for them to tie the knot.
Indeed, huge smiles broke out and tears of joy were shed as they exchanged their marriage vows. At one point, en route to the wedding, Go prayed, “Wag sana ako masyadong maiyak, Lord. Malulusaw make-up ko!” (I hope I don’t cry too much, Lord. My makeup will melt!)
Sealing their union with a kiss, the actress said of that moment: “We are a team now, and I am so excited to build our purpose together.” And she gushed about their journey and of her new husband: “It’s worth the wait; you are worth the wait.”
Go and Spies wed on Wednesday on the tropical island of Boracay after a year of being engaged. Guests included fellow singers Sarah Geronimo, Kayla, Erik Santos, Mark Bautista and Regine Velasquez. /ra
